This is my second year teaching at WINGS, but not my second year at Phelps Center for Gifted Education! I had the pleasure of attending WINGS as a students from 1st-7th grade and am thrilled to be back as a teacher this year! Before teaching at Phelps, I taught 1st grade at Bingham Elementary here in town. 

 

I graduated with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University in May 2016.  I earned my Master's in Gifted Education through Lindenwood University, graduating in 2018.  I am currently working on earning my Doctorate in Educational Administration at Southwest Baptist University.

 

I have a dog and cat at home that take up most of my time.  I also enjoy participating in trivia nights, going to the movies, playing board games, and spending time with my family, especially my 2 year old nephew.

I am so excited to return to 2nd Grade this year! This is my third year teaching at Phelps (and my third year overall) and I love working with gifted kiddos. The imagination, logical thinking, and personality that come out of each and every kiddo is astounding to me!

I graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelors in Middle School Education (2016) and from Drury with a Masters in Gifted Education (2018). My favorite topics to teach are affective education, geometry, logic, and human anatomy.

I love hippos, long naps, and planning trips to Disney World. I am married to an amazing, wonderful, awesome husband who also works for the district as an IT Dispatch Technician. We are so excited to get to know your kids!

I am excited to be joining the WINGS 2nd grade family this semester! I have worked with middle schoolers in gifted education and have a passion for language arts! I am from Florida! I have three amazing kiddos and we love spending time together outdoors.  Teaching is my passion and I love what I do!
